[NEWS] Big Bang announces tour dates for their first ever “Dome concert” in Japan


In addition to their ’2012 Alive Tour’ in Japan, Big Bang has announced the addition of ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 In Japan Special Final in Dome’. With this news, the boys will be embarking on their first “Dome concert” tour ever!

YG Entertainment revealed on May 17th, “On November 23rd at the Osaka Kyocera Dome, and on December 5th at the Tokyo Dome, Big Bang will hold their first Japanese ‘Dome concert’, ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 in Japan Special Final in Dome’.”

The group was already scheduled to hold 10 performances for their ‘Alive’ tour around 5 cities in Japan. However, due to much demand, they had added three more concerts for a total of 13 performances.

This wasn’t enough to quench fans’ thirsts as the tour was sold out and with the increasing demand of fans, Big Bang decided to add the Dome concerts in addition to their tour dates.

Having wished to perform at one of the Domes since the start of their Japanese promotions, it seems the boys will finally have their wish fulfilled!

In related news, with the announcement of the “Dome concerts”, the group has kicked off their tour in Japan today (May 17th) with the first stop being Nagoya.

Jeju Airlines reported on May 16th that Big Bang traveled overseas for the first time flying on Jeju Airlines’ ‘Big Bang’ airplane.

[NEWS] Big Bang Returns to the Oricon Chart


According to the charts published by Oricon on May 9, Big Bang‘s fifth mini album “ALIVE,” which was released back in March 2012, reappeared on the top 10 of Oricon’s Daily Chart. “ALIVE” has been ranked highly since the album’s release. It has been about 50 days since “ALIVE” was released, but the love and support from Japanese fans for the album continues.

[NEWS] Japan is Ready for BIGBANG

BIGBANG‘s comeback and world tour, “2012 BIGBANG Alive Tour,” is also being watched by Japanese media. In a March 5 article from the Japanese paper Sankei Sports, the writer talks about BIGBANG’s popularity not only in Korea but throughout the world. As you may remember, BIGBANG won the “World Wide Act” award at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. And while BIGBANG faced a number of obstacles in 2011, leader G-Dragon said that regarding this tour, “Until now, we focused on making things fun for the fans. This time, we are trying to create a musical show.”

The writer continued by stating that by having Laurieann Gibson on as the main director, BIGBANG has created a strong team and a world tour on a scale never before done by an Asian artist. About 39,000 people attended the Seoul performances which took place between March 2 and 4. BIGBANG will head to Japan in May/June to hold their tour in five cities there, with two performances per city.
