YouTube, the video-sharing website owned by Google, will create a special section dedicated to K-pop for the first time, a move the government hopes can further promote Korean popular culture around the world.

YG Entertainment announced that YG Family’s train wrapped, both inside and outside, with the photos of the agency’s celebrities, started running on November 5, catching many eyes of commuters.
This is part of the promotional strategies of the YG Family Concert to hold on December 3 and 4 at the Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Korea’s leading entertainment agency. A compartment of the train is designated for Big Bang and 2NE1, largely covered with the members’ faces. Through the LCD monitors, we can see their concert videos, adding more excitement to the atmosphere.

K-Pop has rarely shown its unity when it comes to its artists. Wars between fans are rampant in the industry, with people fighting amongst each other to showcase who the “best” artist is. With award shows right around the corner, fans are already displaying how fiercely they will fight for the chance that their artist will receive a “#1 rank”.
In the past, fans of artists such as Girls’ Generation have gone head to head with fans of Wonder Girls. There has always been unspoken conflict between fans of 2PM and fans of Jay Park. The list goes on and on, with new battles occurring weekly when rumors of dating or artists being rude to other artists appear. Fans jump at the drop of a hat to defend their artists and because of this, arguments are plenty.

MANILA, Philippines – Korean boy band Big Bang scored a big upset at the MTV Europe Music Awards when they bagged the Worldwide Act award.
And for the first time in months, all five members of the band were reunited following the scandals involving Daesung and G-Dragon.
The boys were at the ceremony—broadcast live from Belfast, Northern Ireland—to accept the award.
