MANILA, Philippines – The Korean boy band Big Bang has arrived in Manila on Monday.
The K-Pop group, composed of G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, is here in Manila for a one-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
About 400 die-hard fans, mostly teenagers, waited for hours at the airport’s arrival area just to get a glimpse of their idols.
The fans were already satisfied seeing the Korean group onboard several vehicles escorted by bulky security guards.
Tagged as one of the most successful Asian acts in the world, the group is expected to sing songs from their newest album “Alive” in their upcoming concert.
Big Bang’s Manila tour titled “Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012” is mounted by Ovation Productions.
Aside from the Philippines, the K-Pop sensation also performed in Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta and Taipei.
Big Bang is also set to hold concerts in Malaysia and Hong Kong.
The group is the voice behind the hit song “Lies,” “Hot Issue,” “Last Farewell” and “Haru Haru.”
